Williamsburg, VA - Hofstra scored two late second half goals to snap a 1-1 tie and came away with a 3-1 victory over host William & Mary Saturday night at Martin Family Stadium at Albert-Daley Field. The win was Hofstra's first in its last four games (1-2-1).

Hofstra opened the scoring at 20:27 when
Stefan Mason sent a cross through the goal mouth from the right side and
George O'Malley headed it in at the far post for his third tally of the season. The Pride would have a few other solid chances in the opening 45 minutes, but a header from
Matthew Vowinkel was just high and a shot from
Storm Strongin went wide right. William & Mary had a few chances as well including a shot from Alexander Levengood at 24:10 that Hofstra keeper
Alex Ashton made a full extension diving save on.
The Tribe evened the score at one at 57:59 as Julian Ngoh scored after a stretch of great ball movement from William & Mary. Nathan Messer and Marcos Villeda were credited with assists on the goal.
But the Pride responded and took the lead for good at 79:59 minute as
Jesse Schleeper collected a rebound from a long shot from
Lennart Seufert that hit the left post and put it in the top right corner for his first career goal.
Petter Soelberg added an insurance goal at 84:22 as a pass from
Storm Strongin glanced off a Tribe defender and went right to Soelberg who blasted a shot past William & Mary keeper Kieran Baskett. It was Soelberg's fourth goal of the season, tying him for the team lead.
