Michal Kaplan defeated teammate
Alejandra Ruffini in the finals of the "A" Singles draw as play concluded at the Hofstra Invitational Saturday. Hofstra had one singles champion, a double champion and two runners-up at the event.

Kaplan had defeated another Pride teammate,
Jasmine King, in the semifinals before advancing to face Ruffini. Kaplan posted an 8-2 victory over King and an 8-3 win over Ruffini. King and Ruffini each went 2-1 on the day in singles action. Kaplan was 3-0 Saturday.

At "B" Singles, freshman
Hailey Feuer reached the finals before falling to Smriti Singh of Fairleigh Dickinson, 9-7. Feuer picked up wins over Emma Reeves of Wagner (8-2) and teammate
Odessa Stork (8-6) to reach the finals. Feuer was 2-1 on the day while Stork went 1-1.
Katherine Kachkarov, also a freshman, advanced to the semifinals as well before falling to Singh. Kachkarov went 1-1 as well.

Ronia Dolabany and
Ana Canahuate-Torres each went 1-1 at the "C" singles flight. Dolabany picked up an 8-3 win over Ann Phillips of Siena in the quarters before losing to Carolin Menzen of FDU in the semifinals, 8-4. Canahuate-Torres downed Sarah Marro of Siena (8-2) in the quarterfinals before dropping a 8-5 decision to Diana Pinzariu of Wagner in the semifinals.

Hofstra will be in action again on Friday when it hosts NYIT at 3 p.m.
