Monique Iannella and
Jordan Littleboy scored first half goals and Hofstra turned in a strong defensive effort as the Pride posted a 2-0 win over Columbia Thursday night at Rocco Commisso Stadium. Hofstra improved to 5-3 on the season with the win, while Columbia dropped to 3-3-1.
 The Pride got on the board in the 12th minute as Iannella converted a penalty kick for her first goal of the season and career. Littleboy doubled the Hofstra advantage in the 31st minute, taking a pass from
Jenn Buoncore and redirecting it past Columbia goalkeeper Sophie Whitehouse. The goal was the first of her career.
That was it for the offense as both teams played strong defensively. Hofstra limited the Lions to just nine shots with two of them on goal. Hofstra managed 10 shots but only three on goal.

Ashley Wilson split duties with each called on to make one save. Whitehouse had just one save on the night.
