East Meadow, NY - The Hofstra Women's Golf teams picked up wins from Ana Sofia Rodriguez and Shannon Haselton en route to a 2.5-1.5 win over Fairfield Thursday at the Eisenhower Park White Course.

After Hofstra's Larissa Stergiou and Fairfield's Taylor Rogers halved their match at the No. 1 spot, Fairfield took a lead when Madison Beans defeated Amanda Bigger, 3&1, at No. 2. But Rodriguez tied the match at No. 3 with a 4&2 win over Arianna Palmeri and Haselton followed with a 4&2 victory over Kelly Langan at No. 4.

Hofstra will be back in action Sunday and Monday at the Sacred Heart Spring Invitational.

Notes:
-The Pride is 3-1 this season in match play events. 
-The teams played in tough conditions with 30 MPH winds and cold temperatures.
