Milford, CT - Sean Cavanaugh tied for fourth place and Alec Aronson tied for 11th place to help Hofstra post a third place finish at the Sacred Heart Invitational Sunday at Great River Golf Club. The tournament was cut to one round from two due to expected inclement weather on Monday.

Cavanaugh carded a 76 (+4) to finish three strokes back in the 43-player field. Aronson shot a 79 (+7) and tied with six other players for 11th place. Eric Shelly had an 80 (+8) and tied for 17th place, while Kyle Ritchie and Kenyon Kautz each shot 81 (+9) and tied for 21st place.

Glen-Michael Mihavetz of Monmouth was the individual medalist at 73 (+1), one stroke better than Alex Manner of Sacred Heart.

Sacred Heart was the team champion at 309 (+21). Saint Peter's was second at 313 (+25) followed by the Pride in third at 316 (+28).

The Pride will be back in action Friday at the Colonial Athletic Association Championship in Raleigh, North Carolina, at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course.
