West Long Branch, NJ - Hofstra won five of six singles flights and the doubles point in a 6-1 road win at Monmouth Friday evening at Monmouth's Outdoor Tennis Complex. The Pride improved to 9-12 on the season with the win.
After sweeping doubles,
Michal Kaplan posted a 6-0, 6-0 win over Alexandra Graff at first singles to extend the Pride's lead to 2-0.
Ana Canahuate-Torres followed with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 6 over Caroline Mattise to make it 3-0.
Ronia Dolabany clinched the victory at No. 5 with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Maria Ivanova.
Sarah Catherine Herndon downed Sophia Fredrikkson at No. 2, 6-4, 6-1; and
Odessa Stork posted a 6-4, 6-0 victory at No. 3 against Chinonye Gabriel.
Herndon and
Jasmine King, Kaplan and
Alejandra Ruffini, and Canahuate-Torres and
Meheq Khokhar each won their respective doubles flights.
Monmouth is 5-12.
Hofstra plays at Morgan State tomorrow afternoon.
