Baltimore, MD - Hofstra won all three doubles flights and the point proved to be the difference in a 4-3 road win at Morgan State Saturday. The win was Hofstra's 10th of the season and improved the Pride's record to 10-12 on the year.
Jasmine King and
Sarah Catherine Herndon picked up a 6-2 win over Danielle Thompson and Peggy Rooke at No. 1 and
Michal Kaplan and
Alejandra Ruffini clinched the point with a 6-4 victory at No. 3 over Oriane Yehouenou and Dana Santiago.
Meheq Khokhar and Ana Canahuate-
Torres won at the No. 2 flight, 6-4, over Alexus Gill and Asmara Faluke.
The teams split singles play with each team winning three flights. Kaplan had a 6-2, 6-0 win over Gill at No. 2, while Herndon downed Rooke at No. 3, 6-4, 6-4.
Odessa Stork won her No. 4 flight match over Santiago, 6-2, 6-1.
Hofstra concludes the weekend road trip Sunday at Drexel. Match time is 1 p.m.
