Boca Raton/DeLand, FL - The Hofstra University Men's Tennis team dropped a pair of matches in Florida today, falling 5-2 at Bethune-Cookman and 6-1 at Stetson. The Pride saw their record slip to 7-5 on the season.
In the match against Bethune-Cookman (4-7),
Coco Haener and
Santiago Haas provided Hofstra with its two points. Haener posted a 6-2, 6-3 win over David Ocampo at No. 3 singles, while Haas had a 6-3, 6-2 win over Phillip Lynch at No. 6.
Haener gave Hofstra its only singles flight win at Stetson (12-2). The Pride junior downed Angus Bradshaw, 6-2, 7-5, at No. 3.
Hofstra is back in action Thursday when it takes on Hobart at 6:30 p.m. at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.
