Boogie Brozoski finished with 26 points, but the Hofstra Women's Basketball team fell at Elon, 80-55, on Sunday afternoon at Alumni Gym.
Brozoski also led the team with five assists and a season-high eight rebounds, while sophomore
Marianne Kalin chipped in 10 points, as the Pride fell to 11-17 on the season and 5-12 in Colonial Athletic Association play.
Shay Burnett picked up a double-double for the Phoenix (20-7, 12-4 CAA) with 12 points and 11 assists, while Malaya Johnson led the team with 17 points and Jada Graves added 10.

Boogie Brozoski, but Elon answered with a three from Meme Garner to knot it at five. The teams exchanged baskets before a 4-0 spurt gave the Phoenix a 11-7 lead. A trey from Brozoski brought Hofstra back within one, but a quick 10-0 run, capped by a pair of threes from Shay Burnett and Jada Graves pushed the advantage to 21-10 for Elon. The Phoenix scored seven of the last 11 points of the frame to take a 28-14 lead at the end of the first quarter.
A Brozoski jumper and an Askin three brought Hofstra within 13 in the second quarter, and the teams continued to trade baskets, with each team putting up 16 points in the frame. Brozoski drained a three to close the quarter with Elon leading, 44-30.
The Phoenix scored the first six points of the second half to push its lead to 20. Another three from Brozozski closed the gap to 15, but Elon answered, closing the quarter up, 64-40. The Phoenix continued to push in the final frame to take the 80-55 win.
Notes:
-Brozoski's 26-point game was her second 20-plus performance of the season after she dropped a career-high 29 points at Towson on Feb. 9.
-Kalin scored in double figures for the ninth time this season.
-Elon increased its lead in the all-time series with Hofstra to 7-2.
