Box Score Jersey City, NJ - Hofstra rallied from a 3-1 deficit to post a 4-3 victory over Saint Peter's Monday afternoon at the Yanitelli Center. Hofstra moved to 3-3 on the season, while Saint Peter's dipped to 2-8.

The Pride claimed the doubles point, winning at the No. 1 and No. 2 flights. Marcus Smith and Jan Leithner defeated Hector Andre Jacome and Piotr Sowinski, 7-6 (7-4), at the first flight and Coco Haener and Nick Silvestri downed Ivan Knezevic and John Oxner, 7-5, at the second flight.

After defaulting at the fifth and sixth flights, Hofstra found itself trailing 3-1 when Sowinski defeated Leithner in straight sets at No. 2. But Smith won a tough three-set match over Jacome, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4, and Haener downed Oxner, 6-2 and 7-5, at No. 3 to even the match. With the outcome in the balance, Silvestri defeated Ignacio Tintore at No. 4, 7-5, 3-6, 6-0, to give Hofstra the win.

Hofstra will be back in action Saturday at Colgate.
