MTEN: Hofstra Drops CAA Opener To JMU

Box Score Bethpage, NY - James Madison swept Hofstra, 7-0, Saturday night at Sportime in Hofstra's Colonial Athletic Association opener. The Pride fell to 2-3 overall and 0-1 in CAA action. The Dukes improved to 4-1 on the season and 2-0 in league play.

Gonzalo Adis clinched the match for James Madison, as he came from behind to defeat the Pride's Nick Silvestri in three sets (2-6, 6-1, 6-1) at the No. 6 singles spot. Hofstra's Coco Haener and David Schrott also battled with each dropping three-set matches at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.

Hofstra is back in action Friday when it takes on St. John's at 12 p.m. at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York.
