MTEN: Three Singles Players, One Doubles Team Advance At Fordham Quad

Bronx, NY – Marcus Smith, Shawn Jackson, and Ryan Hardin each advanced to the semifinals of their respective singles flights, and Smith and Jan Leithner moved on in doubles as day one of the Fordham Quad match wrapped up Saturday evening.

Smith picked up a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Alejandro Ridruejo of St. Francis Brooklyn in the A quarterfinals. Jackson won his B quarterfinal match against Wagner's Ilya Kneppelhout, 6-2, 6-3, to advance to the semifinals. Hardin also moved on in the B Flight as he posted a 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 win over Alex Makatsaria of Fordham.

Leithner and Smith defeated Wagner's Anatolyi Lashkul and Eric Poland, 6-1, to advance to the semifinals.

The Fordham Quad will conclude Sunday.
