11/10/2018 8:54:00 AM

Hempstead, NY - Following a season-opening rout of Mount St. Mary's, the Hofstra Men's Basketball team will travel on the road for the first time in 2018-19 as the Pride heads to Marshall for a 2:30 p.m. contest on Sunday.

There will be ESPN+ video, Pride Productions audio and live statistics for the game. Links to all can be found on this page or on the men's basketball schedule page at GoHofstra.com. Audio for the Pride Productions broadcast is provided by WRHU (88.7 FM).

The trio of senior Justin Wright-Foreman (20), junior Eli Pemberton (18) and senior Desure Buie (18) combined for 56 points as Hofstra rallied from an early 15-point deficit to eventually capture the 18-point win. In fact, the Pride would out-score the Mountaineers, 78-45, following the game-opening 16-1 run by Mount St. Mary's.

Junior Stafford Trueheart had a strong night for the Pride with seven points and seven rebounds, while graduate newcomer Jacquil Taylor posted six points and a game-high 10 rebounds in his Hofstra debut.

Marshall won its season-opener, 105-77, over Eastern Kentucky on Wednesday as C.J. Burks had 30 points, while Jon Elmore added 20 points, six assists, four rebounds and three blocks.

Hofstra and Marshall have met twice in their history with the Pride winning both previous matchups. The Pride defeated the Thundering Herd, 73-70, at the Great Alaska Shootout in 2006-07 and earned a 103-100 double overtime victory over Marshall in the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project in 2012-13.
