Aisha Skinner had 11 kills and 19 digs, while junior
Laura Masciullo posted a match-high 12 kills to lead the Hofstra Volleyball team to a three-set sweep of Colonial Athletic Association rival Elon on Sunday afternoon at the Schar Center.
Hofstra moves to 19-7 overall and 9-3 in CAA action with its third straight win, while Elon falls to 13-11 and 4-8 in conference play. The Pride won by scores of 25-20, 25-23 and 25-17.
The Pride hit .288 in the contest, including putting the match away with .429 hitting percentage in the third and final stanza. Senior
Nanishka Perez nearly had a double-double for Hofstra with 10 kills and nine digs, while senior
Doris Bogoje posted eight kills and five blocks. Junior
Luisa Sydlik notched 40 assists and six digs for Hofstra. Leah Daniel led Elon with 11 kills, while Kam Terry posted 15 digs, nine kills and three blocks for the Phoenix.
Hofstra returns to action on Thursday, November 1 when it hosts Charleston at 7 p.m.

- Hofstra improved to 9-1 all-time against Elon.
- The three-match win streak is the third time this season Hofstra has a win streak of at least that length.
- The double-double was Skinner's ninth of the season.
- With her 12 kills, Masciullo moved into eighth place all-time at Hofstra in kills with 1,187. She passed Nikki Kinnier, who had 1,181 from 2009-12.
