Brookline, MA - Sophomore
Sabrina Bryan scored the game's lone goal in the 33rd minute as the Hofstra Women's Soccer team advanced to the Colonial Athletic Association semifinals with a 1-0 win over Delaware on Friday afternoon at Parsons Field.
The Pride, which improves to 13-5-1 overall with the win, moves on to face Northeastern on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Huskies will host that contest. Delaware ends its season with a 4-12-2 record.
Delaware controlled play early on before Hofstra turned the tables and began asserting its dominance on the contest. The Pride would have multiple opportunities and was finally able to capitalize when Hofstra corralled a rebound off a shot from sophomore
Jordan Littleboy that hit the crossbar and Bryan finished and put Hofstra ahead.
The second half was all Hofstra as the Pride out-shot the Blue Hens, 11-0, after intermission and was never seriously challenged in making the lone first half goal stand up.
Sunday's contest will be available on CAA.tv.
