WTEN: Hofstra Concludes Play At ITA Northeast Regional

New Haven, CT - The doubles team of Alejandra Ruffini and Katherine Kachkarov went 1-1 in the doubles draw of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Regional at Yale Friday.

The pair defeated Ali Snyder and Tiffany Theophil of LaSalle, 8-2, in the first round to advance but then dropped an 8-4 decision to the seeded Columbia team of Christie Wan and Andrea Kevakian in the second round.

In singles play, Michal Kaplan suffered a straight-set loss to Maya Jacobs of Rutgers, 6-3, 6-0.

Hofstra returns to action at the Mount St. Mary's Invitational on October 26.
