Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra Men's Tennis seasons open Friday at the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.

The Bucknell Invitational starts at 2 p.m. at the Varsity Courts on the Bucknell campus. The participating teams are Bucknell, Delaware, Hofstra, Howard, Lafayette, Loyola (MD), Mount St. Mary's and  Saint Francis (PA). Play on Saturday and Sunday will begin at 9 a.m.
 
The invitational consists of four singles flights and two doubles flights. Marcus Smith and Niko Vulinovich will represent the Pride in the No. 1 Singles flight, while Jan Leithner and Corentin Haener will compete at No. 2. Nick Silvestri and David Schrott will play at No. 3 and Santiago Haas will compete at the No. 4 Singles flight.
 
Smith and Leithner will team up to play in the No. 1 Doubles draw, as will Haener and Vulinovich. Schrott and Silvestri will represent the Pride at No. 2 Doubles.
 
Following the Bucknell Invitational, Hofstra will be off until September 22 when the Pride hosts the Hofstra Invitational.
