Harrisonburg, VA -
Tom Archer had a career-high five hits and his two run single in the top of the ninth snapped an 8-8 tie as Hofstra posted a 10-8 victory over James Madison Sunday evening at Veterans Memorial Park.
Archer went 5-6 with a stolen base to lead a 16-hit outburst from the Pride offense.
Teddy Cillis added four hits including a home run and
Vito Friscia had two home runs on the day.
Hofstra (14-34, 7-14 CAA) had taken an 8-7 lead in the seventh on a solo home run from

In the Hofstra ninth,
Parker Quinn singled to lead off the inning and was pinch run for by
Steven Foster. A walk and an infield single from Cillis loaded the bases for Archer, who laced a two-out single through the right side to allow the go ahead runs to score.
The Dukes (24-23, 7-14 CAA) got the tying run to the plate in the ninth after a two-out single from Ryan Coale, but
Chris Weiss got a fly out to end the game.
Weiss (6-3) picked up the win with 1 2/3 innings of one-hit relief.
Matt Marsili (1-5) took the loss after allowing three runs on six hits in three innings. Josh Wyatt and Jack Hamner each had home runs for the Dukes.
