Flushing, New York – The St. John's women's tennis team swept Hofstra Friday night in a 7-0 victory at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Hofstra fell to 3-3 on the season with the loss.
The Red Storm (5-1) won all six singles matches in straight sets and took all three doubles flights as well.
Carmen Pestano had the most competitive match of the night for the Pride, falling to Zofia Stanisz, 3-6, 2-6, at fourth singles.
Hofstra returns to action Saturday at 5:30 p.m. versus Siena. The match will take place at Sportime in Bethpage, New York.
