Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Women's Tennis Team hosts their lone dual match of the fall on Saturday, when it welcomes Fairfield to the Hofstra University Outdoor Tennis Center at 11 a.m.
Hofstra has been led by freshman
Alejandra Ruffini, who has posted a 7-3 record and was a flight champion at the Hofstra Invitational. Junior
Disha Yellayi also won her flight at the Hofstra Invitational and has a 3-2 record. Freshman
Odessa Stork is also 3-2, while senior Meheq Khokar has also won three singles matches. Yellayi and classmate
Sarah Catherine Herndon have a 2-1 record in doubles play.
Fairfield is 2-0 in dual matches this season, having posted a 4-3 win over Providence and a 7-0 victory over Rider. Jessica Pill has been the Stags top singles player with a 5-4 record. Anna Komer is 4-4 on the year. In doubles, action, the team of Nicole Aragones and Diana Pronos has posted a 5-1 record.
Hofstra will have one more fall competition following the dual match, the ITA Northeast Regionals, which begins October 18 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
