Philadelphia, PA – Senior midfielder Lindsey Alfano posted two goals, three draw controls, two caused turnovers and two ground balls for Hofstra, but Drexel outscored the Pride Women's Lacrosse team, 4-1, after halftime en route to an 8-5 victory on Saturday afternoon at Vidas Field.

With the loss, Hofstra finishes the 2016 campaign with an overall record of 3-13 and a Colonial Athletic Association mark of 1-5. Drexel is now 10-6 and 3-3 in league play.

The first half saw the two teams each find the back of the net four times as they went into the break tied. It was a very low-scoring first part of the opening stanza as Drexel led 2-1 after nearly 19 minutes of play. Alfano got the Pride's first goal of the contest with 17:13 showing on the first half clock.

With Drexel still leading 3-2 later in the half, Hofstra would get back-to-back goals from freshman attacker Lexi Lenaghan and graduate attacker Lindsay Scott to take its first lead of the game at 4-3 with 4:26 left before intermission. Nadia Pelham-Lacey scored the last goal of the first half to even the score at four.

The Dragons took the lead early on in the second half before Lenaghan scored again, this time at the 17:05 mark, to tie the game at five.

Lacey Aghazarian would then give Drexel the win as she scored the eventual game-winner with 15:18 remaining before the Dragons held possession for nearly the remainder of the game while adding a pair of goals.

Lenaghan finished with two goals, while Scott had a goal and an assist.

Aghazarian posted a game-high four goals for the Dragons, while Emily Duffy added two goals and an assist.
