WTEN: Hofstra Falls At Albany

Albany, NY - Hofstra dropped a non-conference matchup to Albany Wednesday afternoon, 7-0, at the Varsity Tennis Courts.

Hofstra fell to 4-2 on the season with the loss while Albany evened its record at 5-5.

Albany took the doubles point, winning all three matches. Dajana Ognjenovic and Jovana Kenic got things started with a 6-1 win over Giulia Leone and Disha Yellayi at the third flight. Paulina Torres and Ana Glumac picked up a 6-0 win over Sarah Bowen and Carmen Pestano at first doubles to clinch the point, while Alba Sala and Isidora Pejovic grabbed a 6-3 win over Sarah Catherine Herndon and Michal Kaplan at second doubles.

The Great Danes swept through singles play, winning four of the six flights in straight sets. Bowen and Kaplan took their opponents, Torres and Ognjenovic, respectively, to three sets.

Hofstra will host Colgate at Point Set Indoor on Sunday, March 13, at 5 p.m.
