Hempstead, NY - With five weeks left in the
Sixth Annual Former Student-Athlete Participation Challenge for the 2014-15 Hofstra Athletics Pride Club year, Women's Golf (25.93%) has taken a big lead over Softball (8.76%) in the Participation Competition. Men's Basketball currently leads the Increase Competition (0.75%) with Men's Tennis close behind (0.08%). Softball (12.77%) is edging Wrestling (10.34%) in the Young Alumni Competition. Please note that the Challenge will end on August 31, 2015. Get involved and help your sport win the Challenge!

Here is how the Challenge works:
Participation CompetitionThe team with the highest percentage of former student-athletes who donate at least $50 to the Hofstra Athletics Pride Club will earn $5,000 for their program.
Increase CompetitionThe team with the highest percentage increase (from last year to this year) in the number of former student-athletes who donate at least $50 to the Hofstra Athletics Pride Club will earn $2,500 for their program.
Young Alumni CompetitionThe team with the highest participation percentage of young alumni (former student-athlete who graduated between 2005 and 2014) who donate at least $50 to the Hofstra Athletics Pride Club earn $2,500 for their program.Â
