Hofstra would take a two-goal advantage later in the stanza as back-to-back goals from Parrella pushed the Pride lead to 4-2 with less than five minutes left before intermission. Harvard responded, though, and the Crimson would score the final two goals of the half to knot the game at four at the break.

Harvard would take the lead for good as Julia Glynn scored at the 26:09 mark and was followed up roughly five minutes later by Marisa Romeo to make it 7-5 in favor of the home team.
