Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra Men's tennis team moved above the .500 mark today with a 5-2 win over visiting Fordham. The Pride won four singles matches and also took the doubles point.

The win moved the Pride to 5-4 on the season. Fordham slipped to 4-14 on the year.

The Pride picked up wins at first and second doubles to earn the doubles point with Ari Richman and Adrien Bailly picking up a 9-8 win at the first flight over Mischa Koran and Alastair Barnes, and Joseph Erichsen and Beau Wills earning an 8-5 win over Max Pearce and Pedro Alonzo at the second flight.

Bailly, Wills, Matthew Gemmell and Erichsen each posted singles victories for the Pride as well. Bailly won, 6-4, 6-1, over Barnes at the second singles flight. Wills recorded a 7-6, 6-3 win over Pearce at third singles. Gemmell posted a 6-3, 2-6, 6-4, win over Mike Puntillo at fourth singles and Erichsen won 6-3, 5-7, 6-4, over Alonzo at fifth singles.
