Charleston, SC - Hofstra won the doubles point, but Towson came back to take five of the six singles matches in a 5-2 win over the Pride Tuesday at College of Charleston.
The Pride fall to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in the CAA on the season while Towson improves to 6-4, 1-0 in the CAA.
Sarah Bowen and Carmen Pestano picked up an 8-4 win over Belen Lizana and Ariel Burke at first doubles and the Pride would clinch the point with a 8-7 (7-3) win at second doubles by Bianca Derrick and Louise Lopez over Lorena Ferrer and Cailey Easdale.
Lopez picked up a 6-1, 6-1, win over Ayana Dow at second singles for Hofstra's lone individual win. Bowen and Pestano each won the first set in the matches, at first and third singles, respectively, before dropping the final two sets.
The Pride play CAA foe College of Charleston Wednesday, as well as Coastal Carolina.
