The Hofstra Men's Tennis team easily defeated Wagner College, 7-0, on Tuesday afternoon at the Hofstra University Outdoor Tennis Center.
The win improves the Pride's record to 7-6-1 this season.
In doubles, Hofstra used two 8-0 shutout victories at second and third doubles to earn the doubles point. The Pride would complete the trifecta in doubles and Stian Tvedt and Tytus Stempniewicz won a tough 9-8 (2) decision at first doubles.
The singles matches would all be won in straight sets by the Pride as Hofstra dropped a total of just 12 games in the six matches. Alex Hosner won 6-0, 6-0 at fifth singles, while Eric Gladstone picked up a nearly as impressive victory winning 6-1, 6-0 at sixth singles.
Hofstra is back in action on Thursday when they host Sacred Heart at 2 p.m.
