Hofstra falls to 7-9-1 with the loss.

Hofstra got its closest match at third singles as Tytus Stempniewicz battled before dropping a 6-7, 7-6, 10-8 to Marcus von Nordheim.

Hofstra returns to action on Thursday when they open play at the Colonial Athletic Association Championship with a first round match against Drexel at 9 a.m.  The tournament is being contested in Norfolk, Virginia.
