HOFSTRA FALLS TO VILLANOVA IN HOME FINALE

Hempstead, NY -- In its final home match of the season, the Hofstra Men's Tennis team gave Villanova all it could handle before dropping a 4-3 decision to the Wildcats at the Hofstra University Outdoor Tennis Center on Monday afternoon.

Hofstra falls to 7-8-1 with the loss.

With Villanova leading 1-0 after winning two of the three doubles matches, Hofstra would need four singles victories to pull out the victory. The Pride was only able to manage three wins as they were victorious at first, second and fifth singles to account for their three team points. All three wins came in straight sets as Nenad Radakovic won at first singles, Stian Tvedt won at second singles and Alex Hosner won at fifth singles.

Hofstra will travel to Marist at 6 p.m. tomorrow for its regular season finale.
