HOFSTRA RALLIES FOR NARROW VICTORY OVER ARMY

West Point, NY -- Using victories at first, second, third and fifth singles, the Hofstra Men's Tennis rallied to defeat Army, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon at the Malek Courts in West Point, New York.

The win moved Hofstra's record to 6-5-1 this season.


Stian Tvedt and Tytus Stempniewicz earned an 8-6 win at first doubles, but Army used wins at second and third doubles to take an early 1-0 lead in the match.

All six singles match would be won in straight sets as Hofstra got dominating efforts from Nenad Radakovic at first singles and from Stempniewicz at third singles to earn the hard-fought victory.

 

Hofstra is back in action on Tuesday, March 31 when they travel to Stony Brook for a 2 p.m. match.
