CLARKSON NAMED A-10 OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Hofstra sophomore quarterback Anton Clarkson, who passed for career-highs of 323 yards and five touchdowns in the Pride's 48-17 victory over Richmond on Saturday, has been named the Atlantic 10 Football Conference's Offensive Player of the Week.

Clarkson, a native of Los Angeles, California and a graduate of Venice High School, completed 22-of-34 passes and did not throw an interception. Clarkson had scoring tosses of seven, 11, 16, 27 and 70 yards, the last four coming in the second half as the Pride broke open a 17-17 game at halftime. On the season, Clarkson has passed for 1,165 yards and 12 scores along with only five interceptions this season. 

New Hampshire sophomore defensive back Corey Graham, who 
returned an interception 25 yards for a touchdown with 5:24 remaining in the game to give the Wildcats a 27-23 victory at Northeastern, was named the Atlantic 10's Defensive Player of the Week. Northeastern freshman running back James West, who carried 29 times for a career-best 149 yards in Northeastern's 27-23 loss to New Hampshire, was named the League's Rookie of the Week. Delaware senior Sidney Haugabrook, who returned a punt 65 yards for a touchdown in Delaware's 34-20 loss at Navy, was selected the A-10's Special Teams Player of the Week.
