Hofstra redshirt senior Blake Cooling delivered a standout all-around performance for the Pride in their victory this past week.Â
Cooling recorded 10 ground balls, two caused turnovers, and added a key goal in the contest. His efforts were instrumental in Hofstra's dominant 40-24 advantage in ground balls, consistently creating extra offensive possessions for the Pride as they dominated to the tune of 13-6 over Fairfield.Â
Cooling's goal proved to be a pivotal moment early in the game, tying the score after Hofstra fell behind 2-0. The score came from beyond midfield and helped spark the Pride's response.Â
The 10 ground balls mark the highest total by a Hofstra player since Chase Patterson had 19 against Yale on April 26, 2024, and represent the most by a non-faceoff specialist in the CAA this season.
