Hempstead, N.Y. – Sophomore Emily Agudelo was named the GoHofstra Student-Athlete of the Week after she scored the game-winning goal in Hofstra's 4-3 win over James Madison in the Colonial Athletic Association semifinals on Friday at Northeastern's Parsons Field.

The award marks the third time in four weeks a Hofstra Women's Soccer player has been selected. Agudelo, a native of Long Beach, New York, scored off a 45-yard free kick to break a deadlock in the 81st minute. Her second goal of the season lifted the Pride into the sixth CAA championship game appearance in program history.

Agudelo started both games and played all 90 minutes in Hofstra's 2-0 loss to Northeastern in the title game on Sunday. Both of Agudelo's career goals came this season as she helped Hofstra finish 13-7-1.

With the score tied at 3 against second-seeded JMU, Agudelo lofted a long-range kick off a set piece that landed in the net on the fly for the game-winning goal. It was Agudelo's first goal since Oct. 19 at UNCW. Both goals came off of free kicks.

Agudelo started all 21 games for the Pride this season.
