Hofstra University Athletics

It was another spectacular week for Hofstra senior Izadora Stedile as she was an offensive force for the Pride in their two wins over UNCW to extend the perfect season to 9-0. The 9-0 record matches the 1988 team for the best start in program history. 

Stedile tallied team-highs of 31 kills and 26 digs, while also adding three blocks, three service aces, and four assists. She hit a remarkable .434 clip during the week and averaged a spectacular .517 kills per set. Stedile tallied match-highs of 18 kills and 16 digs on Friday, while hitting .500 in the sweep.

She followed that up with a match-high 13 kills and 10 digs (second on the team) in Saturday's straight set victory. In addition to averaging 5.17 kills per set, she also averaged 4.33 digs per set. 

The two double-doubles were her team-leading fourth and fifth of the season. She was named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts.
