Shawn Jackson posted a 2-0 record at No. 1 singles last week in Hofstra's victories over NJIT and Fairleigh Dickinson.
To open the week vs. NJIT, Jackson defeated Abdullah Fouad in three sets, 6-0, 3-6 and 7-5. He turned in another singles victory against Teodors Pukse of Fairleigh Dickinson on Thursday, winning that match by scores of 6-4, 4-6 and 6-4. In addition, Jackson and teammate Alvaro Lopez-Sanchez picked up a 7-6 (3) victory at No. 1 doubles against the Knights to give the Pride the doubles point.
