Three-time NCAA Championship qualifier Zachary Knighton-Ward returned to his alma mater as a volunteer assistant coach trainee in December 2025.
Knighton-Ward wrapped up his collegiate career at Hofstra in 2023 with a 68-39 record. He placed third in the EIWA at 285 pounds in 2021 to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships, and would be an at-large qualifier in 2020 after placing fourth at the EIWA's and again in 2022 following a sixth-place conference finish.
He began his career at Nassau Community College where he was 24-4 as a freshman and won the NJCAA District Championship at 197 pounds.
Knighton-Ward, a Uniondale, New York native, holds a degree in criminal justice from Hofstra.
