Samuel Stampley

Samuel Stampley joins the Hofstra Department of Athletics in April 2022 as the assistant athletic trainer, and he will work with the Hofstra Wrestling and the Hofstra Men's and Women's Tennis programs.

Stampley comes to Hofstra after spending the 2021-22 academic year as the assistant athletic trainer at Long Island University, where he was responsible for primary coverage and was responsible for rehabilitation, treatment, and medical diagnoses of their wrestling and women’s rugby programs. A graduate of Long Island University in December 2019 with his master’s degree in exercise physiology, Stampley also worked for the university as the primary athletic trainer for the cross country and track programs.

Prior to his second stint at Long Island University, Stampley was the head athletic trainer for Whitewright Independent School District in Whitewright, Texas for the 2020-21 year. At Whitewright ISD, he was the primary athletic trainer for all athletic programs, including junior varsity and middle school programs.

Stampley also has experience as a strength and conditioning coach for Pure Athlete Volleyball Club in 2018 and as a strength and conditioning intern at Poly Prep from 2019-20.

Stampley, who graduated from East Texas Baptist University in May 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training, is CPR and BOC certified, is an ATC-certified athletic trainer, and holds a NYS License in athletic training.
