Lee Gerstman

Lee Gerstman is in his first year as the coordinator of video and player development for men’s and women’s basketball at Hofstra University.

A Hofstra graduate assistant with the men’s basketball program at Hofstra since 2023, he has played a key role in scouting, video analysis, and player development, creating advanced scouting reports, breaking down game film, and assisting with recruiting efforts.

Gerstman previously served as head student manager for Syracuse men’s basketball, overseeing a team of 30 managers and working closely with the coaching staff on scouting and skill development.

He has also worked with NBA assistant coach Rico Hines and trainer Chris Brickley, assisting in workouts for elite players including Stephen Curry, Paul George, and Trae Young.
A native of Roslyn, New York, Gerstman holds a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Syracuse University in 2023 and is completing his master’s in physical education at Hofstra.
