Jessica Kalbfleisch serves as the department's associate director of athletics for external affairs. She was promoted to that position in October of 2024. In her new role, Kalbfleisch oversees the department’s fundraising efforts and spearheads major solicitation, annual campaign strategies, giving day, and other events for all 21 Pride athletic teams. She is also a team administrator for the tennis programs.
Kalbfleisch, who joined the Hofstra staff in 2018, most recently served as the assistant director of athletics for donor and fan experience. She originally joined the athletics department as the assistant director of athletic development for special events.
Kalbfleisch attended Dowling College and studied sport management, while also spending four years working in the athletic department gaining experience in athletic communications, game day operations, facility management and business operations. At Dowling, she was a dual-sport student-athlete in women’s basketball and women’s volleyball, while also serving on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for five years. Kalbfleisch was a member of the
2014 Daktronics NCAA Division II AVCA East Region First Team and was a 2014 All-East Coast Conference First Team selection. She served as team captain for three seasons and was the Dowling female student-athlete of the year in 2016. Kalbfleisch was inducted into the Longwood High School Athletics Hall of Fame in 2019.
Kalbfleisch went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in business management from Molloy College in August 2016. A year later, Kalbfleisch received her MBA in business management from Molloy. She payed basketball for one year at Molloy, helping the team to an ECC championship and a berth in the NCAA Sweet 16.
In addition to her duties at Hofstra, Kalbfleisch also serves as social media manager for Academy Volleyball of Long Island, where she had coached for eight years. She also works on the game day staff for the Long Island Nets, Nassau Community College, and Five Towns College.
