Dr. Ellinger is an associate professor of Health Professions in Hofstra University’s School of Health Professions and Human Services. She serves as a primary instructor for the BS in Athletic Training. Instructional content includes health care administration, emergency care, evaluation of injury and illness and supervision of senior research assignments. In addition, Dr. Ellinger is the faculty advisor for the University’s chapter Iota Tau Alpha, the National Athletic Training Honor Society. Administrative service has included program director for the BS in Athletic Training program (2004-Present), coordinator for the Department of Health Profession’s Health and Safety program (2004-Present), and chairperson for the Department of Health Professions (2014-2017).
