Dave Walsh was named Assistant Athletic Equipment Manager at Hofstra University in September 1995. He is responsible for the inventory and care of athletic equipment, uniforms and practice gear for wrestling, baseball, men’s basketball, cross country, tennis, golf, and men’s soccer, as well as assisting with lacrosse when needed.
The Far Rockaway, New York, native came to Hofstra after working for 10 years in private business in the food industry. He has also served as a security supervisor at the Nikon Jones Beach Theater since 1985. Walsh has also worked in the event management security business at many of the top athletic and musical venues in the New York metropolitan area for more than two decades.
Walsh and his wife, Eileen, have three grown children, Jessica, Matthew, and Ryan, and are the proud grandparents of six grandchildren, Cassie, Alyssa, Tyler David, Ryann, Chase, and Raegan.
