Hofstra University Athletics

David Fernandez is in his 16th year on the athletic facilites staff at Hofstra. After starting at Hofstra as an athletic facilities coordinator, Fernandez was promoted to assistant director of athletic facilities in March 2014. In his role, Fernandez is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Hofstra Swim Center, as well as managing the setup and breakdown of athletic facilities during home athletic events.

A 2007 graduate of the University at Albany with a degree in sociology, Fernandez worked part-time at the Hofstra Swim Center from 2003 to 2007, processing memberships and selling merchandise. During this time, he also served as a member of the athletic facilities game-day event staff.

Fernandez, who serves on the Hofstra Diversity and Inclusion Committee, is single and resides in East Meadow, New York.
