Scott Leamey

Scott Leamey is in the first season of his second stint as a volunteer assistant coach trainee with the Hofstra women's soccer program in 2025. Leamey previously spent three seasons in the role from 2014 through 2016.

Leamey has extensive experience as a goalkeepers coach across the amateur and professional ranks. In addition to his work at Hofstra, he has served as an assistant at St. John's and Stony Brook. He also was the director of goalkeeping for the New York Cosmos and has served as a goalkeeper coach for the Long Island Soccer League Player Development Program and the New York Red Bulls Academy and Regional Development School. Leamey has also coached with the Long Island Rough Riders U20 men’s team

He worked on the United Soccer Coaches national staff in the Goalkeepers Academy,
 served as a Region 1 ODP goalkeeper coach, and was a coach and goalkeeper trainer at Saint Anthony's High School on Long Island. 

A holder of a United Soccer Coaches advanced national and advanced national goalkeeping diplomas, Leamey also holds a United States Soccer Federation Goalkeepers License.

Leamey is a graduate of the University of Tampa with a degree in business. A member of the soccer team, was a second team All-SSC selection in 1988.
