Richard Wisor joined the Hofstra Department of Athletics in July 2023 as the assistant director of athletics for compliance and student-athlete success. He also serves as a team administrator of the women's golf team and as an academic advisor to the women's soccer and softball teams. In October 2024, he was selected to serve a two-year term on the NCAA Eligibility Center Division I Advisory Group.

Wisor arrived at Hofstra after spending a year at St. John's University as the assistant director for compliance. He began his compliance career at Long Island University Post in 2017 as a compliance assistant. From there, Wisor worked at the University of Bridgeport, and then at St. John's prior to joining Hofstra's staff.

In his role with the Red Storm, Wisor oversaw the compliance program for all financial aid activities. Additionally, he worked alongside the director for compliance to certify all NCAA requirements were met for student-athlete eligibility. Wisor also taught workshops on NCAA Rules for coaches, staff, and student-athletes during his time as the assistant director for compliance. He has been a NACDA member since 2020, and was NAAC certified that same year.

Wisor graduated with a bachelor's degree in sport management from Farmingdale State College in 2018. The following year, he received his master's of professional studies in sport management from St. John's.
