Lindsay Mayer completed her second season as an Assistant Coach for the Hofstra softball program following the 2020 season. Mayer joined the coaching staff in September 2018.
In her first season with the Pride, Mayer helped mentor six All-CAA selections, as well as four players went on to earn NFCA All-Northeast Region distinctions, including Meghan Giordano (First Team), Courtney Scarpato (Second Team), Kasey Collins (Second Team) and Angelina Ioppolo (Third Team). In addition, a program-record 11 student-athletes received All-America Scholar Athlete Distinction by the NFCA.Â

Mayer played three years of softball at Fordham after spending her freshman season at Virginia. When she was named Player of the Year in 2016, she batted .343 with 43 RBIs, while also posting a 6-0 record and 3.42 ERA in the circle. Mayer was also a two-time NFCA All-Region and All-Atlantic 10 selection with the Rams. She also excelled in the classroom, earning CoSIDA Academic All-American honors in 2016.

Most recently, Mayer has served as an assistant coach at Wagner, working with outfielders and assisting with hitting coaching.

A native of Lincoln, Rhode Island, Mayer graduated from Fordham in 2017 with a bachelor’s in communications and media studies.
