Stacie Nadel was named the Pride’s Assistant Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track Coach in August 2019.
Nadel, a native of Glen Head, New York, comes to Hofstra after graduating from Lehigh University in May 2019 and being a member of the Mountain Hawks’ Cross Country, and Indoor and Outdoor Track teams. As a senior team captain in both sports, she received Lehigh’s Most Valuable Athlete Award in cross country, named to the All-Patriot League first team after winning the 3,000-meter Steeplechase, and earned the Lehigh Track and Field Scholar-Athlete Award last spring. Nadel received the Lehigh Cross Country Coaches Award as a junior and is a seven-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll award winner, and a five-time Dean’s List Honoree.
Active in campus athletic activities, Nadel served on the Lehigh Student-Athlete Council as a captain and a Patriot League representative from January 2017 through her graduation. She was awarded Lehigh’s Contribution to Student Life Award in 2018, the James J. Duane III Student-Life Leadership Award and the Deborah Pearsall Pride for Engaged Leadership in 2019.
In addition to several other University leadership positions including the Lehigh PRIDE (Personal Responsibility in Determining Excellence), Athletics Emerging Leaders, Lehigh Leadership Legacies and Flight 45 Engagement Group Selection Committee, Nadel has also served as an Undergraduate Teacher’s Apprentice at Lehigh and an Undergraduate Intern in the United States Attorney’s Office in Central Islip, New York as a junior.
Nadel holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations with a minor in economics from Lehigh.
