Morgan Serkes was named the assistant coach for the Hofstra Cross Country/Track program in July 2022.
Serkes ran for the Hofstra outdoor track team in the 2022 season, competing primarily in the 1500m. She finished first in the event at the Stony Brook Snowflake Classic and the Hopkins Loyola Invitational, while she placed second at the Mets Outdoor Track & Field Championships. She also ran in the 800m during the outdoor season, placing fifth at the West Point Twilight.
Prior to competing at Hofstra, Serkes was a four-year member of the Siena College cross country and indoor/outdoor track teams. She set the school record for the distance medley relay during the 2020 indoor track season, and she set the school 4x800m relay record during the 2021 outdoor track season. In cross country, she represented the Saints at three NCAA Northeast Region Cross Country Championships, and she helped the women’s cross country team to a program-best second place finish at the 2021 MAAC Cross Country Championships.
Serkes graduated from Siena College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a minor in education and sociology, in May 2021, and she is expected to graduate with a master’s degree in school counseling from Hofstra in May 2023.
