Crystal Boyd - Retired Jersey EX 1

#13 Crystal Boyd (Softball)

Boyd graduated in 1994 with her name all over the Pride record books, including records that she still holds for highest batting average in a season (.514), most hits in a season (80), most doubles in a season (21), most triples in a season (10), and career records for doubles (68) and triples (29).

Boyd was a two-time All-American at Hofstra (1993, 1994), making her the first player in program history to earn that distinction. She was also a three-time Academic All-American for the Pride and earned All-Region honors in each of her four seasons. In addition, Boyd helped guide Hofstra to its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance in 1993 and played professionally for the Georgia Pride of the Women's Professional Softball League until 1999.
