Hofstra Athletics Fan Reopening Guidelines

We are excited to welcome fans back to James M. Shuart Stadium! We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we adhere to federal, state, local, and Hofstra University guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our student-athletes, guests, staff, and community. Noncompliance with any guidelines or instructions from event officials will result in immediate removal from Shuart Stadium. If you have any questions, contact the Hofstra Athletics Ticket Office at (516) HOF-TIXX (463-8499).

To gain entrance to Shuart Stadium, the following protocols will be implemented:
  • Everyone entering Shuart Stadium must present one of the following:
    • A negative diagnostic test result for COVID-19 using a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or DOH authorized polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or other nucleic acid amplification test (NAATs) of comparable analytical sensitivity performance that was performed on a specimen (e.g., swab) collected within 72 hours of the event/competition start time. 
    • A negative test result for COVID-19 from an FDA authorized antigen test performed on a specimen collected within 6 hours of the event start time.
    • Proof of having completed the COVID-19 vaccination series at least 14 days prior to the date of the event/competition.
  • Before entering, everyone must complete a Hofstra University health questionnaire and have their temperature checked.
    • If your temperature is above 100.4 degrees, then you will not be permitted to enter Shuart Stadium.
  • Physical distancing of at least six (6) feet is required both inside and outside of Shuart Stadium for all individuals at all times, except for members of the same household or party.
  • Approved face coverings must be worn properly at all times by all people two years and older.
    • Approved face coverings include disposable masks, cloth masks, and medical-grade masks.
    • Approved face coverings must be worn upon exiting your vehicle or public transportation and while inside Shuart Stadium at all times.
    • Neck gaiters, face masks with vents, and bandanas are not approved face coverings.
    • A face covering must cover the nose and mouth completely.
    • Face shields may not be worn in place of a face covering, though may be worn in addition to a face covering.
Submitting your proof of negative test or proof of vaccination
 
We highly recommend that you submit your negative test result or proof of vaccination prior to the day of the game via email to AthleticTickets@Hofstra.edu. Please attach the proof of negative test results or a photo of your vaccination card. Please include the event you will be attending, your name, email address, cell phone number, address, and date of birth.
 
If you do not send your negative test results or proof of vaccination via email prior to the game, you can bring a copy to the game and present it when you are checking in.
 
We do recommend you submit your proof of negative test result or proof of vaccination before the game to be able to handle any issues or questions beforehand, as well as expedite your process of entering the game.
 

 
Arriving at Shuart Stadium
  • In order to park in the reserved lots adjacent to Shuart Stadium, you must purchase a parking pass.
  • Before entering the stadium, fans must first check in at the appropriate locations:
    • Fan Check-In Tent outside of Gate C - General public 
    • Gate F - Anyone on the pass list for the away teams from game 1 and game 2
    • Gate E - Anyone on the pass list for the home teams from game 1 and game 2
    • Gate A - Anyone with a suite ticket
  • When you arrive at your check-in location:
    • Everyone entering must present a valid ID.
    • Everyone entering must present their negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination, if they did not already submit it beforehand.
    • Everyone entering must have their temperature checked.
    • Everyone entering must confirm they completed their health screening.
    • After completing all of the above, everyone entering must put on a wristband that must stay on until you leave Shuart Stadium.
  • Fans can then enter Shuart Stadium at the closest gate with their wristband and ticket.

Shuart Stadium Guidelines
  • NO TAILGATING.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available in numerous locations within the assigned seating area.
  • Everyone must adhere to all directional signage and area limitations, which will be posted and clearly visible for all to see.
  • Fans are only permitted to sit in their assigned seating.
  • Standing or sitting within walkways or against railings is not permitted.
  • No outside food and beverages are permitted.
  • Re-entry is not permitted. Once you leave Shuart Stadium, you cannot return.
 
ADA Seating

ADA seating accommodations are available. If any guests need ADA seating accommodations, they should contact the Hofstra Athletics Ticket Office at AthleticTickets@Hofstra.edu or (516) HOF-TIXX (463-8499) at least 24 hours prior to the game to coordinate ADA seating.
