Hofstra University Athletics

The Hofstra University Pride play and practice at Bill Edwards Stadium, located on the North Campus of Hofstra University. The stadium is located next to the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex. It was renamed on April 19, 2015 in honor of longtime Head Softball Coach Bill Edwards. 

The stadium, constructed in 2000, provides a fine setting for collegiate softball action. Featuring a new turf field installed in 2026, Bill Edwards Stadium also has sunken dugouts, a press box on top of the bleachers behind home plate, batting cages next to the dugouts and a bullpen area that features two pitching and catching areas each. Bleacher seating behind home plate, from dugout to dugout, accommodates nearly 1,000 spectators. Field dimensions are 190 feet down the lines and 220 feet to centerfield.
